The Drive is very proud of its four-part choir which has led the music at our weekly Sunday services more or less since the church was opened – the members of the choir have, of course, changed periodically over time!

Currently under the direction of Choirmaster, Mr Nigel Ogden, the choir sings an Introit and an Anthem at each service as well as providing a solid musical foundation for the congregational hymn-singing. A specific Choir Anniversary takes place on one Sunday per year when several specially prepared items are sung.

Weekly rehearsals take place between 2.30 and 4.00 pm on Friday afternoons (please check the Blog for exceptions). As well as working hard, we have a lot of fun.

The choir is always happy to hear from anyone who might like to help swell the ranks – obviously, the ability to read music is an advantage but if you have some level of musical knowledge and have, perhaps, been a singer previously and feel you might like to join us, we’d be delighted to hear from you.

Please contact the Choir Secretary, Ernest Beedle for further information.
