The Methodist Covenant Renewal Service is a significant event in the Methodist tradition, traditionally celebrated on the first Sunday of the year. It was introduced by John Wesley and serves to renew the covenant relationship between individual and God emphasizing self examination and commitment in faith.
The service includes hymns, prayers, Scripture lessons, a sermon and Holy Communion, reflecting the community’ unity and dedication to living in grace and obedience to God.
