Join our Mid Week Worship this week Wednesday 5th January at 12 noon.

This is a short Service of about 25 minutes. Do come along.

Restrictions at the moment do say we have to wear masks.

Thursday: Social Group & Knit and Natter

Friday: Friday Coffee Morning.

St Annes Ecumenical Lent Course 2020 – “Unusual Kindness” at The Drive Monday 9th March at 2 pm.

The Lent course at The Drive this week ‘Unusual Kindness’ will be led by Rev Stephen Heath. This is the second of 5 Monday weekly sessions that you are encouraged to attend 

You do not have to attend all the sessions, just come when you are able. If you didn’t come to the first session why not give this one a try?

Also, the same 2nd session of the course is held at St Annes United Reformed Church on Monday 9th March at 7.00 pm and at Church Road Methodist Church on Thursday 12th March at 11.00 am.

You are encouraged to attend this Course at any of the venues or mix and match if that is more convenient for you.

Visit of St Annes College Children to The Drive 04/02/2020

We were pleased, on Tuesday this week, to welcome Class 2 at St. Anne’s College Junior School to The Drive.

In RE lessons they are exploring the features, similarities and differences in places of worship of different faiths. They have already visited a local Synagogue and Hindu Temple and their final visit is to a Mosque next week.

This service lasts about an hour and our average congregation is around 70 though we are always looking to increase this. We would love to see you.

If you are able join us for coffee/tea and biscuits in the Community room after the service.

3.30 pm Circuit Service  here at The Drive Methodist Church to celebrate the long service of a number of our Local Preachers.

This service is led by our Chair of District Rev Paul Davis.

Tea and Coffee will be available in the main hall from 2.30 pm.

St Annes Ecumenical Prayer Walk Friday 27th Sept

Friday 27th. 3.30 pm  We are invited to join the St Annes Ecumenical Prayer Walk ). Participants may walk all or some stages of the route , or just be at their church location. The walk gathers at St Thomas’s church at 3.30pm, prayer and blessing. Leaves at 3.45pm and arrives at The  Drive for 4.15 leaving here for Our Lady Star of the Sea at 4.25pm

Action for Children Strawberry Tea Wednesday 17th July 2019

We enjoyed a very successful Circuit afternoon tea in the Hall at The Drive. Everyone enjoyed the afternoon and money was raised for this very important charity.

Action for Children is the children’s charity of the Methodist Church. It was founded in 1869 by Methodist minister Revd. Thomas Bowman Stephenson in response to the poverty and danger faced by vulnerable and destitute children and young people living rough on the streets of London.

Strawberry Afternoon Tea Wednesday 17 July 2.30 – 4pm

This event is in aid of Action for Children

Admission £3.00 Includes tea and strawberry scone There will also be stalls including homemade cakes and a raffle

Action for Children Sunday takes place every year on the second Sunday in July This year 14th July is its 150th Anniversary
