As we move into the period between Ascension and Pentecost we are invited to join churches across the world to pray Thy Kingdom Come. Attached are prayer requests to help us as we pray for God’s Spirit to move in our Circuit churches along with the weekly Reflection and information sheet.

17 May Freckleton

As we open up the building we pray for the following groups their leaders and those who attend:

  • Junior Church,Mums and Toddlers,        Cameo and Film Nights

Our links with Strike Lane and Holy Trinity Junior Schools and Busy Bees Nursery

–      forward planning for various community events in the autumn and over the Christmas period in which they get involved

–      resuming monthly assemblies taken by the Minister in the schools again

–      The Godly Play Bus being able to visit

As we seek to build on the outreach through Wesley’s Larder and develop a Community Café, pray for our funding application to refurbish the kitchen, that we may have confidence and vision to see where God is leading us.

As we build a vision for the future may people hear the call to key roles in the church.

Closer and effective working with our ecumenical partners that we can develop joint ways of ministry and mission to the rapidly growing villages of Freckleton and Warton and hundreds of new homes.

Our ‘New Roots’ partnership with Christchurch helping the group of Asylum Seekers living in Kirkham and Wesham

The Take and Make free food table, part of Wesley’s Larder organised by Church Road

Our Young People as we consider the best way to re-start Sunday School and discuss ideas for activities especially for the older group.

For our CAP Life Skills course as we consider the best way forward.

For other church groups, LMG, prayer group and house groups as they prepare to re-start.

For the people vaccinating and being vaccinated at Mill Farm

For Kirkham Methodist Church as we continue to be ‘A Voice of Hope’ to the community of Kirkham and Wesham

As restrictions ease and we prepare for Stephen leaving us and Louise coming we ask your prayers for:-

Sunday Worship as members and visitors return

We will know the right time to recommence:

Wednesday lunch time services and preachers will be available to lead it.Ladies and Men’s Fellowships the choir and invite others to join

For our Friday Coffee Morning, the volunteers who staff it and the many people for whom it is an important meeting place.

That the many and varied users of our premises will return and we will be able to rebuild our relationships with them supporting those who have been bereaved in the last year.

That we will have a renewed vison and confidence of faith to make Jesus known among the people who enter our building and make worship relevant and accessible to them.

That more people will respond to the call to volunteer and share the workload on committees and practical jobs to enable the church to play its part in the community.

That we may be good stewards of the resources God gives us in the building and its site

For Churches Together in St Annes as they plan for a Proms Praise in August.
