Easter Vigil at The Drive 2018

 Service of reflection on Holy Saturday included Prayers and readings for Easter and the lighting of the Easter Candle.

Longing for light,we wait in darkness.

Longing for truth, we turn to you.

Make us your own, your holy people,

light for the world to see.

Open Church Wednesday 28th March 10.30 – 2.30 pm.

Wednesday 28th March  10.30 – 2.30 pm. Church Open Day. 

At 12 pm a short Service. 

Followed by a light lunch.

If you wish, join our short half hour service at 12 pm. and if you have the time enjoy the light lunch in the Community room after the service.

30th March, Good Friday,  11 am.  

Ecumenical Service at The Drive with Church Road Methodist, St Annes URC, St Annes Baptist who will also join us for this Service.

Service led by Rev Dr Adrian Burdon.

31st March, Holy Saturday, 4.30 – 5.30 pm.  Easter Vigil. 

A Service of reflection between Good Friday and Easter Day. Prayers and Reading for Easter and the lighting of the Easter Candle. (This was a very popular Service last year, although not many people new about it). Do come along.  Special Music by the Choir.

9.00 am. ‘Said’ Holy Communion led by Rev Dr Adrian Burdon

10.30 am Holy Communion led by Rev Alan Clark.

Easter Egg Bingo was enjoyed. A good atmosphere and plenty of Easter Eggs.

Sequence and Ballroom Dancing in the Hall keeps us active.

Wednesday 21st March,

11.30 am – 12.30 pm. Dementia Friends Information Session in the Community Room.

As part of our move to become a Dementia Friendly Church, Richard will be hosting Dementia Friends Information sessions in the New Rooms.
You can become a ‘Dementia Friend’ if you wish at the end of it. A fun and informative hour so please come along and bring a friend.

OR Session repeated Friday 23rd 2.30 – 3.30 pm. if you can’t make Wednesday.

Friday Coffee 10.30 – 12 pm. Friday 16th March.

Do call in and join us this Friday at our popular Coffee Morning.  We will be pleased to see you whether you just pop in or stay a while.

Join our regulars, visitors and holiday makers. It’s warm, the coffee/tea is hot and there is the biscuits to be enjoyed. You can also browse Ernest and Eileen’s stall and maybe find what you have always been looking for.

Sunday Morning Worship 18th March 10.30 am.

We invite you to join our morning worship.  This morning is Holy Communion led by Rev Dr Adrian Burdon.

Organist Mr Nigel Ogden.

The Service lasts about an hour and our congregation generally numbers 60 to 70.  We are always looking to increase this number so do please come along and join us, you will be very welcome.  We regularly welcome visitors and people on holiday.

If you have the time then join us for coffee/tea & biscuits in the Community Room.  Again you would be most welcome as most of our congregation go through to enjoy refreshment and chatter.
