Worship Sunday 14th January 2018 at 10.30 am

This Sunday is our Covenant Service including Communion.

Worship led by Rev Alan Clark. Organist Mr Nigel Ogden.

The Covenant Service is a unique gift to Methodism from its founder, John Wesley: a moment for renewing our commitment to God’s hopes for us – affirming that we give our lives and choices to God – even as we celebrate all that God has done for us. The service is often held at the beginning of the calendar year or at the start of the Methodist ‘Church year’ (September).

Friday 12th January Coffee Morning 10.30 – 12 noon

You’re invited.  Do come along to our regular, popular Friday Coffee Morning.  We would love to see you.  Just call in or stay a while.  Come into the warmth out of the winter cold.

Tuesday 9th Jan. Mens Group 2.15 for 2.30 pm Speaker Rev Malcolm Maymand.

The Men’s Group is always looking to increase numbers.  Come along and join in.

Wednesday 10th Ladies Fellowship.  New Year Lunch at the Chadwick Hotel.

 

3 pm. Choir AGM followed by Choir Rehearsal.  Note the earlier start.

Thursday 11th, 12 – 1 pm. Tai Chi in the Hall.  Gentle Exercise for all.

Christmas does not end at midnight on Christmas Day!

Christmas does not end at midnight on Christmas Day! The Christmas season runs from Christmas Eve all the way to Epiphany on 6 January and then the  season of Epiphany lasts until Candlemas on 2 February, when we celebrate the presentation of Christ at the temple.

Epiphany, the date in the Church’s calendar in which Christians remember the visit of the wise men from the East to present gifts to Jesus.

ALL ARE WELCOME AT THE DRIVE. Join us for Sunday Worship at 10.30 am & coffee/tea afterwards if you have the time.

Christmas at The Drive 2017

Christmas at The Drive.

Sunday 17th December 10.30 am. Morning Worship led by Rev Dr Adrian Burdon.

and at 4 pm. Carol Service led by Rev Dr Adrian Burdon. Do come along and enjoy singing Christmas Carols.  Mince pies and coffee/tea in the Community Room afterwards.

Monday 18th 10. 30 am. Our 3rd Advent Audio,/visual/ Discussion. Nunc Dimittis (The Song Of Simeon)  Do join us.  This is the last of the series but each discussion is independent so it doesn’t matter if you have missed the previous ones which have both had an attendance of about25.  Note the change of time because of the afternoon Carol Singing.

Friday 22nd 10.30—12 pm Christmas Coffee Morning  Do come along whether you are a regular, visitor, or just  giving it a try.  You will be very welcome.

Sunday 24th, 10.30 am. Christmas Eve Worship led by Mr Richard Golding.  Organist Dr Kevin Morgan.

Sunday 24th 11.15 pm at Lytham Methodist Church. Holy Communion led by Rev Dr Adrian Burdon.

Christmas Day Worship 11.00 am here at The Drive. Led by Rev Dr Adrian Burdon.

You will be welcome at any of the above events.
