Rev Stephen Heath’s newsletter 9th July, readings w.c 11th and this week’s meditation.

Dear All

In just three weeks’ time Rev Sylvester Deigh will conduct his last service as a Minister stationed in the South Fylde Circuit. As he and Rachel move and train for work overseas, we enter a period of transition and some changes. The 26th July will be the last time Sylvester will post a weekly service online. From 5th August we will be inviting people from across the Circuit to join an online Sunday Zoom service at 10.30 a.m., joining details will be published nearer the time. We will continue to produce the mid-week reflections and weekly letter.

By September we hope to be able to open one church in the Circuit for worship and then others will follow on a phased approach. This will, of course, depend upon restrictions and the completion of the various things we need to do but at the moment preparations are going well for reopening The Drive, the largest building in the Circuit. All churches in the Circuit are working on their plans and, in a constantly changing situation, we will continue to provide information as arrangements are firmed up.

Current restrictions deny us singing, coffee and conversations but as we plan to be compliant with the restrictions, I am anticipating that there will be opportunities to share learning and expertise, assist in practical ways and rediscover we are six churches working together across the Circuit to offer meaningful worship that inspires Christian living and faithful service of our Lord, sharing God’s love and peace among those with whom we share life.  May it be so.
