October 2018  This Week at The Drive

Tues 23rd:-    2.15 for 2.30  Mens Group Fellowship. 

Board Games & Conversation.

Do come and join us.  We are a small group of about a dozen and would love to.welcome new people. You don’t need to belong to the Church.  Tea & coffee at the start. We generally have a speaker but today we are trying something new.  We hope that you can come along. You’re invited.

Wed. 24th:-  2.15 pm Ladies fellowship. 

Beryl Crossley, ‘Methodist Women in Britain’

Come and join us, all welcome.  Tea/coffee served during the afternoon.

              

4 pm. Choir Rehearsal

See Kevin, Nigel or Ernest if you are interested in singing with us.

Thurs 25th:   12 – 1pm   Tai Chi, gentle exercise for all.

Friday 26th   10.30 am – 12   Coffee Morning.

All Welcome. Do come along.  This is always a busy morning.  Do come and join us either to just drop in for a quick drink or to stay a while. Have a look at Ernest & Eileen’s stall while you are here, you might find the item you’ve been looking for.

Worship Sunday 21st October 10.30 am

Our Sunday Morning Worship this week is led by Rev Joan Edwell and includes Holy Communion.

Organist Dr Kevin Morgan.

We do hope that you can  join us for this service.  You will be very welcome.

The Service generally lasts about an hour, and then, if you have the time, enjoy coffee/tea and biscuits with us in the Community Room .

Our usual congregation is between 60 – 70 but we would love to increase this number so come by yourself or with a friend.

ALL ARE ALWAYS VERY WELCOME AT THE DRIVE.

You’re invited to our very popular Friday coffee morning. It’s very popular with our regulars, holiday makers and visitors. Enjoy hot coffee/tea and biscuits in a busy friendly environment.  Just call in or stay a while you will be very welcome.  You could also browse Ernest & Eileen’s stall for that item you have always been looking for. Give it a try.

Coming Soon, Nigel Ogden Concert 3rd November 2 pm.

Sat 3rd Nov. 2 pm.  Nigel Ogden is giving a Concert, Here at The Drive to raise money for Action for Children. Please come along and be entertained.  Entry £10 inc. interval refreshments.

‘The Organist Entertains’

Do come and enjoy being entertained by this exceptional organist.  Nigel  presented ‘The Organist Entertains’ for over 30 years on BBC Radio 2  .

Coffee Morning Friday 12th, 10.30 am. – 12 noon

This is our regular Friday Coffee Morning in the Community Room, popular with visitors and regulars. We hope that you can come and join us – just call in or stay a while.  Come with a friend or be brave and come by yourself. Give it a try !

10.30 am Harvest Thanksgiving Service led by Rev Stephen Heath.

This week Rev Stephen Heath. Do come along we are always looking for new members and you don’t have to be a ‘church goer’ We would love to see you.  Tea & Biscuits at 2.15 pm followed by Rev Stephen Heath at 2.30 pm.

Wednesday 3rd October:- 2.15 pm Ladies Fellowship.

Programme to be arranged as this week’s talk has had to be cancelled.  Do come along, there will be a meeting and something organised as well as tea and biscuits.  Everyone welcome, come along and give it a try. You don’t have to belong to a church.

Wednesday 3rd October:- 4 pm. Choir Rehearsal in the Community Room.

If you enjoy singing and would like to join a choir why not come along and have a word with Kevin or Nigel our organists.

Gentle exercise for all.  Do come along to this very popular class.

This week it’s a fun Quiz.  Nothing to serious so do come along and enjoy some fun and light hearted entertainment.  You’re invited. Everyone welcome whether you attend a church or not, you will be welcome.
