Our Knit and Natter Group

The delivery comprised:- 92 hats, 9 blankets, 9 scarves, 65 jumpers, 2 baby capes, 1 pair mittens, 1 tabard.

Well done everyone, that’s a brilliant effort. Keep it up.

Anyone wanting to join Knit and Natter will be made very welcome. Come along to The Drive any Thursday between 2 and 3.30 to the Community room. To knit or natter or both.

Macmillan Coffee Morning 23rd September 2022

A big Thank you to all who supported our Friday Macmillan Coffee Morning and made it such a success. Thank you all for your great support once again.

We enjoyed coffee, cake and good fellowship as well as raising money for the Charity. All takings for the morning are to be donated to Macmillan. We again thank everyone who made the morning a success.

We are back to our normal Friday Morning Coffee 10.30 – 12 noon next Friday 30th September, we do hope that you can join us. Come by yourself or with a friend and stay as long as you wish. Just drop in or stay a while. We will be pleased to see you.

Friday Coffee Morning this week, 10th December, is in aid of ‘Crisis for Christmas’

Do join us for our regular Coffee Morning 10.30 – 12noon. This week all proceeds will be given to ‘Crisis for Christmas’ – a charity for the homeless. Admission £2 includes a cake and coffee/tea.

Friday Coffee Morning takes place every week in the Hall and is very popular with our regulars, visitors and holiday makers. Do come along.

Strawberry Afternoon Tea Wednesday 17 July 2.30 – 4pm

This event is in aid of Action for Children

Admission £3.00 Includes tea and strawberry scone There will also be stalls including homemade cakes and a raffle

Action for Children Sunday takes place every year on the second Sunday in July This year 14th July is its 150th Anniversary

Action for Children is the children’s charity of the Methodist Church. It was founded in 1869 by Methodist minister Revd Thomas Bowman Stephenson in response to the poverty and danger faced by vulnerable and destitute children and young people living rough on the streets of London.

Christmas Concert 7.30 pm. Friday 14th December

2018 Christmas Concert

The Supporters of Ashton Gardens have organised another Christmas Concert for 2018 at the Drive Methodist Church on Clifton Drive South because of its terrific acoustics.

The Concert features Blackpool Brass, and takes place on Friday 14th December at 7:30pm

Tickets cost only £5 and that includes Tea/Coffee and a Mince Pie

Saturday 15th September. Bake Sale 10 am – 12 noon

Admission £1.00 (including a drink). To raise funds to twin our toilets and support Graeme’s trip to Uganda with Tearfund. If you’re able to, please bring a donation of cake (it can be baked by you or bought from a shop). Donations for a raffle will also be welcomed. If you are baking a cake, please indicate if it contains nuts or if you make a special gluten-free one (just to avoid problems).
