Thy Kingdom Come – 21st – 31st May 2020

thy kingdom come

Thy Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray from Ascension to Pentecost for more people to come to know Jesus.

The wave of prayer starts in May for 11 days between the Christian festivals of Ascension and Pentecost from 21st May to 31st May 2020.

It’s not complicated – we’re simply asking people to pray in whatever way they want and with whoever they choose for others to come to know Jesus Christ.

While our church building is closed for all activities we are we are highlighting some of the many opportunities for worship with a focus on those that are easily available knowing those with internet access have access to a huge amount of material, far more than we can list so we have listed some of those with a local connection. Please note this offer changes and updates more regularly than we can keep up with so please note to the best of our knowledge it was accurate when compiled but it may change so please check the programme schedules on the day. If you would like some background on the readings and points to ponder please go to https://www.methodist.org.uk/our-faith/the-bible/a-word-in-time/

You may want to read all three elements at once or others may prefer to space them out during the day – breakfast, dinner and tea. What works for you?  Some may need to set an alarm on their phone so that they don’t forget, while others will not be able to do anything else until readings are read and prayers shared. You will find a pattern that works for you and gives a framework for your day.
